1980 Audi 4000 Brochure

Here are all six pages as scanned from the introduction brochure for the 1980 Audi 4000. No, there wasn't a quattro model offered yet, but just take a gander at the period clothing! FYI, this was exactly the same as my First Car(tm). Except mine was in a fashionable blue, and it was around 1990.

All scans were done at 150dpi to save disk space and download time based on the A4-sized brochure. Images have been scaled to 800x600 and stored in full-color progressively-scanned JPEG format. Wow, internet savvy, ain't I? grin

If a lot of people want, I can type on in the descriptions that are on the pages. I do not know if they are legible on your screens at this resolution. Just drop me an email.

Page 1 - What do gliders have to do with Audis? Not that this specific model could actually tow one (well, maybe). Nice outfits, though.
Page 2 - Flipping the page, we get this quick shot of some wonderful canyon ranges and the lovely Audi 5000. Check out the wheel covers! Yowzers.
Page 3 - Flip yet again and now we have a tri-panel layout on our hands. Very slick, Audi. Check out that awesome interior shot! I'll take mine in black on black velour, please. Looks comfy.
Page 4 - That dash picture really takes me back. Those really were the days.
Page 5 - Uh oh, we're coming to the end of the brochure, almost. Take a look at those sucky DOT headlamps! They are so darned yellowish, even in this "Knight-Rider"-esque shot. I installed some Bosch foglights under the bumper of mine to allow me to drive during dusk and darker without night-vision goggles. Nice clean engine bay, tho'!
Page 6 - The end. Check out some of the early cars. Isn't Horch [sic] spelled wrong. email me either way. A little history lesson on these pages. 78HP @ 5500 rpm...oh, I remember that part! Love that tag line in the bottom right corner: "Porsche+Audi; Nothing even comes close". Attitude.
