Date: 17 Jun 1996 15:02:22 -0400 Subject: Manifold vacuum levels Just as a follow-on to the various posting on how much vacuum when, my UrQ, with fresh motor and vacuum rubber most everywhere, idles at 10-13InHg (or 0.6Bar absolute). Under full decel (e.g., 3000rpm throttle closed) I see about 25-27InHg (or about .16-.2Bar absolute) manifold vacuum. My engine has the vacuum-actuated desmog valve which opens under decel, and is the limiting factor on how much vacuum the engine can build. These readings are from an outboard guage, verified accurate (a year ago, anyways...) against a pres- sure standard. Just another $.02's worth for the fray. -RDH
