1991 90q20v Stereo Installation

Here is my post regarding the stereo installation. It's long and boring, but I wrote it, and I like it :>. Check there for specifics.

Or, you can check out my stereo system diagram that I put together to learn how to use Macromedia Flash.

Here are some really fuzzy digital camera pics of the stereo installation that I did a little while ago. I've got some real pictures coming, I just have to develop and scan the film. Sorry for the fuzziness, the Sony Picturebook just isn't what it's all cracked up to be, apparently. That, and I'm no photographer.

Update: I've got some new scans of photos of my stereo equipment. Finally found that roll of film and finally got them scanned. They are here.

Here is my Illinois license plate. Gotta love it! I get plenty of questions on this one, and I must admit, I feel like a complete boob when I give them the reason I chose this tag.

Note to self: do not put weird tags on your car again.

Here is the trunk with the false floor in place. You can see that the carpeting I chose matches the interior of the trunk okay. Black felt from the local fabric store. On the right you can see the JL Audio 10W6 subwoofer in it's custom enclosure. You can't tell, but it's wedged shaped to fit better into that passenger side well. If you look real close, you can see two bottle of Mobil 1 10w-30 tucked away in corners!
Here is a shot of the JL Audio 10W6 sub again. Sorry for the picture! See that oil can! You can't tell the shape here either. Maybe I'll take it out someday and take another shot of it. I gotta polyfill it someday, so I'll do it then.
Here is a shot of the wiring and the two Zapco amplifiers under the false floor. They are secured to another carpeted piece of plywood to keep them from moving around. Bolted on the floor area are also power/ground distribution blocks, two custom LEAP-designed crossovers. Strewn about is a bunch of 4ga and 8ga wiring and various amounts of speaker wire. It isn't going to win me any competitions, but it works and stays out of my way.
Here is a picture of the Rockford Fosgate RFX-8130 CD player. It really matches the interior illumination well.
Like this.
This shot shows the Audax and LPG drivers mounted in the dashboard. The tweeter is jammed into the side window vent. Haven't had a problem yet with defog-ation during Chicago winters (knock on Zebrano). Also notice the 50hp shot sticker.

Well, since I've got the Picturebook, let's take a shot of the stable as it stands now.

What a sight!
